Hairstyles you'll want to try this spring

You don’t have to be a massive follower of fashion to know that much of what appears on the designer catwalks would look pretty ridiculous if you were walking down the average Milton Keynes or Aylesbury street! But we’ve taken a look at the key Spring / Summer 2015 hair trends and found the ones that will still look great away from the catwalk.

Ponytails
Ponytails are always a favourite on the runways and we saw a few interesting twists emerge this season.

elegant ponytails

Cushme et Ochs used a second hair elastic at the nape of the neck to give this elegant looped effect.

Jason Wu dressed up the ponytail with an on trend side parting and a softly waved tail that just oozes style.

If you happen to have hung on to your crimping iron from the 1980s, now could be the time to dust it off!

At Stella McCartney selected sections were crimped to give interest and texture.

Gilded adornments
The perfect finishing touch this season is a flash of silver or gold.

Golden hair adornments

At Valentino, tiny golden starfish and shells adorned romantic hairstyles, whilst at Celine the circular golden barrettes were just gorgeous.

The celebrities embraced this trend during the recent awards season so we know we’re on to a good thing here!

Kiera Knightley ‘s silver leaf accessory was followed a few nights later by a more subtle golden adornment.

Coming undone styles
Whilst some of the fashion houses took this one to extremes, this trend is great for anyone who struggles to achieve the smooth, sleek look with their hair – and let’s face it, we’ve all been there.

undone hairstyles

At Micheal Kors the undone braid looks slightly dishevelled but is perfect for any busy woman, whilst the half up style is so easy to do yourself and it really doesn’t matter if a few strands are out of place.

Braids live on
The braid trend just goes on and on, but you can bring it bang up to date this season with an on trend deep side parting.
