Hairstyles for summer wedding guests

The summer wedding season is upon us so if you’re lucky enough to have a wedding to go over the next few months you need to start thinking about how you’re going to style your hair to beautifully compliment that amazing outfit you’ve splashed out on.

Of course there are a few rules to bear in mind – most importantly not to overshadow the bride. Here we share some hairstyles that will get you noticed even if you’re not the bride!

Short and Sweet
If you have short hair you probably have more options than you think with just a few changes to you usual style. A chic bob can take on a softer feel if the fringe is swept to the side. Or how about adding some highlights to a layered, wispy style? Of course you could be bold and book in for a complete re-design. We would love to help you choose a change of style to compliment your face shape. For ideas and inspirations see our blog on How to add variety to short hair.

Getting Creative with Long Hair

If you have long hair but aren’t part of the bridal party, remember to keep you hairstyle simple – you don’t want to outshine the bride! There are loads of options, from a simple bun to a side pony tail, a fishtail plait or cascading curls.

If you’re going for an ‘updo’, make sure you keep it simple and avoid using too many decorations – this is best left to the bride. How about a half-up half-down hairstyle instead? This will enhance the look of your face whilst still showing off your long hair.
