Brazilian Blow Dry in Milton Keynes and Aylesbury

Would a Brazilian Blow Dry be right for me?

Brazilian Blow Dry

We are often asked by our clients whether a Brazilian blow dry would be right for their hair. And whilst its not right for everyone a Brazilian Blow Dry can have amazing and stunning results.

Won’t a Brazilian Blow Dry damage my hair?
There have been a lot of scare stories in the past about Brazilian Blow Drys and a few years ago actor Jennifer Aniston went public about the damage just such a treatment did to her hair.

But things have moved on since then and the most important thing to be aware of is that these days a Brazilian Blow Dry (or Keratin treatment as they are also known) contains no formaldehyde – the chemical that understandably caused concerns in the past. In fact today the treatment can actually be really kind to your hair and can even help to repair damage – but just make sure you use a reputable salon for the treatment.

Will a Brazilian Blow Dry suit my hair?
To be honest a Brazilian Blow Dry will suit almost any hair type and it’s not just about poker-straight hair. The treatment will make hair more manageable and super smooth and shiny.

If naturally your hair is very curly, it will minimize frizz and enhance the appearance of the natural curls or waves and make them more manageable. If your natural hair is wavy the Brazilian Blow Dry will make it naturally straight and healthy. And if you have straight but frizzy hair, then it will eliminate the frizz and leave you will gorgeous smooth, shiny hair.

Does it work on treated hair?
Yes! If you have coloured hair or even if your hair has been chemically straightened in the past there is no reason you can’t have a Brazilian Blow Dry. We would just recommend that your hair is coloured before the treatment, or leave it until a week or so after.

How long will a Brazilian Blow Dry last?
Although a Brazilian Blow Dry is sometimes known as a Permanent Blow Dry, this isn’t entirely true. It won’t last for ever, but it will last for several months. Most versions say between 3 and 5 months.
And the great thing is, during that time your hair will be so much more manageable and blow drying your hair will be much easier and quicker. What’s more, you might never have to pick up you straighteners and if you do, you’ll be done in a fraction of the time you’ve been used to.
